Redispersible polymer powders are the most common universal modifiers and mandatory components of most dry building mixtures for various purposes.
Redispersible polymer powders (PPPs) are dry powders of organic polymers that, when mixed with water, form aqueous dispersions. RPP in combination with binder materials that are hydrated make it possible to create ready-made modified dry mixtures of stable quality, to which only water can be added. The main property of PPPs is their ability to quickly disperse in water. This process occurs when a dry mixture containing PPP is mixed with water. As a result of the processes of solidification of the solution and the binding of water, the dispersed particles agglomerate and form a phase of polymer film, which allows obtaining in the final product the necessary general and special properties depending on the purpose and field of application of the compositions — dry building mixtures.
Application
The use of redispersed powders can significantly improve the main indicators of systems based on mineral binders (cement, sand, gypsum, etc.):
* VA - VinylAcetate (Vinyl Acetate), VEOVA —Vinyl Ester of Versatic Acid (Vinyl Ester of Versatiic Acid)
**MTPU — minimum temperature of film formation
